Job Description Intern Entry Level Technician

General Summary: To provide a customer-friendly experience every time, striving always to accomplish any request. To perform maintenance-related repairs and services in an efficient and professional manner..

Intern will be under the supervision of the Lube Lead Tech and Service Manager. They will receive training during all repairs.

Reports to: Lube Lead Tech, Service Manager

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To provide high quality service to every customer; maintain work areas in a clean and professional manner.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by accomplishing assigned tasks, keeping work

flowing smoothly and continuously.

  • Maintain high ethical standards in daily activities.
  • Be prepared to depart from traditional ways of doing things as appropriate to ensure maximum customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Service Advisors to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Be prepared to do any and all jobs to support the success of the team, including vacuuming and washing windows.

  • Has an approachable style; fosters open communication through active listening.
  • Takes the initiative to help others as needed.

  • Observe all relevant health and safety procedures, particularly with regard to handling and storage of hazardous substances.
  • Attach and complete all necessary forms accurately.
  • Complete preliminary information on work order.

  • May need to use a computer to manage and enter information.

Understanding and Using Business Knowledge

  • Has an overall understanding of dealership business objectives.
  • Participate in departmental and dealership wide meetings as requested.

  • Attend training courses as required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Bending, stretching, reaching and climbing may be required . May occasionally lift up to 100 lbs . Driving a vehicle, including manual transmissions .

WORKING CONDITIONS:

May be exposed to fuel or exhaust fumes, dust, and vibration. May be exposed to extremes of weather, including temperature, rain, snow, and ice. May be required to use a video display terminal.
